Highs -n- Lows Living with the Disease

Another beautiful day!  Soooo very cold again outside.  Schools started closing and delaying 2 hours already last night.  It sounds like Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be the same...very cold :-(

Gracie and I went to Faribault yesterday to visit grandma Gloria and grandma Faye. They were both having a good day. :-) The roads were starting to get bad coming home. Blowing snow...

I have a bad cold/flu that started a few day ago...I'm having trouble breathing. So stuffed up...even when I blow my nose, I'm stuffed up. I hope it doesn't last too much longer...

When we fly to Arizona I was planning on wearing a mask on the plane to protect myself from catching anything but now it will be to protect others from getting what I have.

Last night I had another flare :-(  it's so hard walking when I'm in so much pain...
So I took my meds and went to bed.  I slept until around 4:30...I couldn't breathe anymore so I got up to blow my nose and I'm still stuffed up... :-(

I am ready for the warmer weather...temperatures have been running 60's/70's as a high and 40's for their low. I can handle those temperatures.

Hopefully when we return it will feel like spring....only dreaming.  NOT :-). I'm praying really hard for nicer weather and warmer temps...

It will be so nice to see Tim and Connie. :-) I brought mom to my house yesterday to make our way to the cities easier...so tonight we stay in a hotel and the hotel van will shuttle us over to the airport in the morning.  Flight leaves at around 9:30am, I didn't want to mess with the traffic   It will so much easier on all of us...I want to make it as stress free as possible. :-)

So thankful for all I can do....

“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels...”
(2 Corinthians 4:7 NKJV)

You have many treasures buried deep inside of you. Gifts, talents, abilities that you don’t even know about yet. But as a believer in Jesus, the greatest treasure within you is the Spirit of God. You carry the treasure of God in an earthen vessel!

He’s also deposited treasures on the inside of you that are tied to your purpose. By His Spirit, you will discover that God has fully equipped you for everything you need in this life. We have to draw out those treasures inside of us by what we speak and what we believe. We stir up the gifts by praying in the Spirit.

Don’t let those treasures lie dormant. Seek God and follow His leading. Dig deep, stir it up and move forward in the destiny God has in store for you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY
Father, thank You for choosing to live inside of me. Show me the treasures You have deposited within me so that I can fulfill Your purposes for me all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today's Bible Study

Our God Is Able
Read | Jude 1:24-25

People fail. We do not like this reality, but there are times when, no matter how hard we try or how talented we may be, we simply do not succeed or reach our goal.

How are we to succeed at a given task, especially in situations when the odds are against us? For believers in Christ Jesus, the answer is to live out a radical faith in the knowledge that our God is willing and able to overcome our weaknesses.

Sarah laughed when she overheard the Lord prophesy that she would bear a son. “Is anything too difficult for the Lord?” He asked (Gen. 18:14). Within a year, that question was answered when the elderly woman gave birth to baby Isaac. She saw that God was able to accomplish the unimaginable.

When God sent Moses to Pharaoh to demand the release of the Hebrew slaves, Moses was scared. “Who am I,” he asked, “that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the Sons of Israel out of Egypt?” (Ex. 3:11). God replied with assurance that He would pave the way for the Hebrews’ release, which He did in a miraculous way. Truly, Moses saw that God was more than able.

On our own, we can accomplish nothing (John 15:5). However, when we operate within the will of God, we have access to a limitless power source that far exceeds our comprehension (1 Chron. 29:12). If you are overcome by the burdens of the world, it is time to throw yourself into the arms of the only one who can carry your heavy load (Matt. 11:28-30). Trust in Him and learn for yourself that God is able.

Looking forward to another great day....
