Another Beautiful Morning!
Paul and I went to bed at 9:00pm and I got up at 5:00am...
Paul continued to cough a lot last night. He's having a tough time getting over this stuff that's going around. Hopefully he can sleep in and get enough rest. Thursday night he didn't sleep very good so he had a rough day, yesterday.
We did make it back to the gem show to see what kind of treasures we could find. Paul picked up a few more items for his collection and I picked up some more things for the Cancer Center.
A few hours at the gem show is enough while we are sick. We do our searching and come back to rest and relax.
This would be around Connie's mom one year of passing. So I wanted to get things from the Gem show to honor her. She had put her life into beading and had been overseeing the program at the center for 20+ years.
Connie took over her mom's position :-)
Thursday, Sue B, Tim & Connie's renter, had a blood transfusion. Yesterday afternoon she ended up falling and went back into the hospital. She still has her leg swelling and fluid built up in her lungs. It's so sad to see her struggling with the cancer. CANCER stinks
Since Paul and I have been sick, we've been staying away from Sue. We don't want to cause anymore issues for her. She's on high doses of steroids also.
I've been having pain on my right side and swelling but have been doing pretty good over all. No major flares. On Thursday night I had a flare that I needed to take extra steroids for but it wasn't as bad as I have had in the past. So, overall I have been lucky on this trip. :-). I'm so happy! Paul and I enjoy coming to AZ to stay and we enjoy the gem show. We wouldn't want to discontinue this tradition. :-)
I am so thankful for all I can do...

Today's Bible Study
Surviving Our Present Culture
Read | Hebrews 5:12-14
If we desire to survive our present culture, then the inspired, infallible Word of God must have a central place in our daily life. Through the Bible, God speaks to us about His truths and the world’s lies.
To know if we have fallen victim to falsehood, we need to take an honest look at whether we are committed Christ-followers or worldly believers. Worldly Christians may have strong convictions about following the Lord but often find themselves compromising those principles. A weak understanding of God’s character and instructions will result in self-focused lives and susceptibility to the culture’s influences (Eph. 4:14). Worldliness is revealed in long-term inconsistency with regard to the Christian walk and in a focus on things that give pleasure or comfort. Minimal involvement in the local church also prevents growth in spiritual maturity.
Do you recognize yourself in any part of this description? If so, be encouraged. Scripture stands as a beacon to guide us safely through cultural perils so we can become committed Christ-followers. The Bible and the Holy Spirit’s work will increasingly cause our lives to reflect God’s standard. Applying Scripture to our attitudes and actions will result in a growing passion for the Lord and greater obedience to Him. Then, as trust and dependence on Jesus Christ continue to increase, our whole life will take on a new perspective because we have aligned ourselves with His Word. What place does Scripture have in your decision making?
Looking forward to another great day...
